The Association offers a recreational lacrosse program for beginners focused on building basic stick skills and game fundamentals that will apply to both boys and girls lacrosse sports as they grow older.  Co-ed practices and intra-group fun and games for players ages 4 through 6 who are not yet eligible or ready for the separate 8U field teams. 

The program is designed to fit around other activities and spring sports where you can make as many or as few sessions as you are able.  It’s a great way to experiment with a new sport as there is no equipment required.  We will provide starter sticks and soft balls to use during the program but if you have a stick already, you are welcome to practice with your own as well.

The program begins in April and runs with 8 weekly sessions ending before school is out for the summer.  Practices will be held outside 5:30-6:30 pm at the Orono fields campus. 

Beginner equipment will be available for purchase to keep and practice after the program ends.  Scholarships are confidentially available, please inquire with the Association.
