Boys Lacrosse 8U-14U

Programs available for boys aged 6-14 (Birthdate between June 2010 and  August 31, 2018)

2025 Spring Field Program 

  • Indoor Skills Clinics at the Long Lake Dome on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays (February 25 to March 14) 
  • Team practices Mondays and Wednesdays beginning March 31 pending field conditions
  • You should expect that all age levels will have the opportunity to practice 2-3 hours per week
  • Greater focus will be placed on the fundamental skills (i.e., passing/catching, ground balls, footwork and positioning) that will prepare our teams for the Field Season, both physically and mentally
  • Games start the 2nd weekend in April and run through third weekend in May

The registration price includes all skills sessions, practices, games, and tournaments for the season.

  • Wayzata Invitational - 8U Boys - May 17-18 at Wayzata HS
  • Viking Goat - 10U, 12U, 14U Boys - May 30 - June 1 at Farmington HS
  • GNLL Spring Youth State Tournament - June 6-8, 2025 in Maple Grove at Fernbrook Fields

BOYS EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

Lacrosse is a fast moving and physically demanding sport. Full field running is a necessary part of the game. Proper stick and body checking are an integral part of lacrosse play. Full equipment is required to play in all leagues.

The following equipment is required:

  • Lacrosse stick (crosse)
  • Lacrosse helmet (no hockey helmets )
  • Shoulder pads
  • Chest pad (Goalie)
  • Arm/elbow pads
  • Lacrosse gloves (no hockey gloves)
  • 2 Colored mouth guards (always have one spare)
  • Athletic supporter and protective cup

Additional Optional Equipment:

  • Protective rib pads
  • Shin guards/football pants (Goalie)
  • Various other special padding necessary for goal tending
  • Cleats
